With most dogs being lactose intolerant, they've substituted cream/milk with coconut milk which is great for your dog's health. Hugo's also wanted to create something as healthy as it was delicious, so to do this they substituted sugar with organic agave nectar which adds sweetness and helps prevent ice crystals from forming in the ice cream.
