Lockdown Ending 6pm 11/01/21

Brisbane Lockdown will end at 6pm 11/01/21.   Facemasks will now be mandatory when shopping in-store until 1am 22nd January.    Please follow our COVID Safety requirements when visiting us 

  • maintain social distancing 
  • use hand sanitiser upon arrival 
  • stay at home if you are feeling unwell, or are showing any cold or flu symptoms

Brisbane 3 Day Lockdown   - Changes to In-store Trading 9/01 to 11/01

From 6pm Friday 8/01/21 Brisbane will enter a three-day lockdown to stop the spread of the highly contagious UK strain of COVID-19.   In accordance with this act, we wish to advise that

There will be no browsing in-store from Saturday 9/01 to Monday 11/01.  We ask for essential pet-food purchases only in store.   In-store browsing will recommence Tuesday 12/01 (unless otherwise advised). 

We are asking locals to place their orders online during this period and select our Contactless Click & Collect option. Our staff will bring your order to your car.  For further information on Contactless Click & Collect click here.

Our Home Deliveries and Courier Pick-ups will be paused until Tuesday 12.01 (unless otherwise advised).

Changes to Online Trading

The 3-day lockdown in Brisbane may affect Courier Pick up & delivery times.  Please expect that delays may occur with your parcel delivery during this period.

We are now limiting the amount of customers in the store at a time due to an increased traffic flow. We kindly ask that you browse and shop online if possible, and choose to only visit for essentials.

Store Visits - Please avoid visiting in groups

Here at Pet City we are all about family. Being a family owned business, we love the way that pets bring families together. However, at this time, we are asking our customers to avoid visiting the store in groups, for the safety of your family and ours. If visiting the store, we recommend coming on your own where possible & keeping the kids at home. And don’t forget, we offer 30 minute Click & Collect, Express Delivery and Free delivery options to make it easier to purchase those essential items.

Our trusted courier company have reached out to reassure us that parcel post is an Essential Service, and there should be minimal disruptions to your online orders. However, some delays may occur simply from the influx of parcels at the current time.

Phone Orders for Senior Card holders

We are now accepting phone orders for those who carry a Senior's Card. 

Our elderly are amongst the most vulnerable in our community right now, so after some discussion we have decided to allow for phone orders. We invite our locals in their golden years to call us on (07) 3349 2086 to organise their pet essentials delivered to their Brisbane homes.

We have had to apply order limits on most items across the store.

We apologise for the inconvenience - however this is a necessary precaution to maintain stock levels of important pet supplies, and to ensure fairness for all of our customers.

If you are in self isolation - don't fear - we can still supply you with your pet-care essentials!

We offer Zero Contact delivery options, *free local shipping in the greater Brisbane area for orders over $49, as well as Click & Collect and Home Delivery for your convenience. 

To receive these convenient delivery options, shop online and select your shipping option of choice at the Checkout. 

If you are unwell, we ask that you use our home delivery options to keep our staff & community safe and healthy.

Greencross have released a statement confirming that (at the time) there is no evidence to believe that Aussie pets can spread the Coronavirus COVID-19.

FAQ's: 

Are we still open?

Pet City Mt Gravatt is still open for trading both in-store & online.

In-store - Our trading hours have changed slightly, click here for details. We have implemented steps to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Staff have been retrained in hygiene & proximity rules have been put in place. Quarantine measures have been put in place for any staff member exhibiting cold & flu symptoms.

 

Can I still order online? 

Yes, however some limits have been put in place to ensure fairness & stock supply for everyone. 

 

Will my delivery be delayed? 

Delivery services are still continuing and we are working closely with couriers to ensure you receive your deliveries in a timely manner.   

Though we have not been advised of any delays as yet, with the changing situation deliveries may start to be effected.   Please allow for possible delays when placing your order.   We will endeavour to keep you updated as the situation changes.
